What is Translation ?
Translation is the process of decoding mRNA into protein by ribosomes. It is tightly regulated at initiation (eIF4F complex, mTORC1), elongation and termination. Dysregulated translation drives cancer (e.g., MYC, mTOR) and ribosomopathies. Translation inhibitors and mTOR-targeted drugs are used clinically.
