What is Cell Migration & Chemotaxis ?
Cell migration is the directed movement of cells, often guided by soluble chemoattractants (chemotaxis) or substrate-bound cues (haptotaxis). It requires polarized cytoskeletal dynamics, adhesion turnover and receptor signaling. Aberrant migration is fundamental to cancer metastasis, chronic inflammation and defective wound healing.
