What is Arrhythmia ?
Arrhythmia is a condition of abnormal heart rhythm caused by disruptions in the generation or propagation of electrical impulses in the heart. Ion channel mutations, structural heart changes and autonomic dysregulation contribute to arrhythmogenesis. Research focuses on understanding mechanisms to improve antiarrhythmic drug development and risk prediction.
