What is Vascular Biology ?
Vascular biology encompasses the development, function and pathology of blood and lymphatic vessels. Endothelial cells regulate barrier function, hemostasis and angiogenic sprouting. Dysfunction leads to hypertension, atherosclerosis, diabetic vasculopathy and tumor angiogenesis. Vascular-targeted CRISPR models enable therapeutic discovery.
