What is Hypoxia Response ?
The hypoxia response is mediated primarily by hypoxia-inducible factors (HIF-1α, HIF-2α), which are stabilized under low oxygen and activate genes controlling angiogenesis, metabolism and survival. Hypoxia is a hallmark of solid tumors and drives therapy resistance and metastasis. Prolyl hydroxylases (PHDs) and VHL are key regulators.
