What is Neurodegenerative Diseases ?
Neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, ALS and Huntington's, involve progressive loss of neurons. Shared mechanisms include misfolded protein aggregation, impaired proteostasis, mitochondrial failure and neuroinflammation. CRISPR models with disease-relevant mutations enable dissection of pathogenic cascades and drug target discovery.
