What is Adaptive Immune Response ?
The adaptive immune response provides specific, long-lasting protection through B and T lymphocytes. It involves somatic recombination generating diverse antigen receptors, clonal selection upon antigen encounter, and differentiation into effector and memory cells. Dysfunction leads to immunodeficiency, autoimmunity or failed tumor immunity. CRISPR engineering drives advances in adoptive cell therapy and vaccine design.
