Overview
Hippo Signaling
Study Hippo pathway kinases, YAP/TAZ transcriptional co-activators, organ size control and cancer mechanisms using CRISPR-engineered cell models.
What is Hippo Signaling ?
The Hippo signaling pathway is a conserved kinase cascade that regulates organ size by inhibiting cell proliferation and promoting apoptosis. Its core consists of MST and LATS kinases that phosphorylate and inhibit the transcriptional co-activators YAP and TAZ. Dysregulated Hippo-YAP/TAZ signaling drives tumorigenesis and is a promising target for cancer and regenerative medicine.
