Overview
Neuroinflammation
Study microglial and astrocyte activation, inflammatory mediator release and neuroinflammatory mechanisms in CNS diseases using CRISPR-engineered cell models.
What is Neuroinflammation ?
Neuroinflammation is the inflammatory response within the brain and spinal cord, driven by microglia, astrocytes and infiltrating immune cells. Chronic neuroinflammation contributes to neurodegeneration, multiple sclerosis and neuropathic pain. Modulating glial reactivity is a promising therapeutic approach.
Key Research Applications
Microglial phagocytosis/activation assays
Astrocyte reactivity profiling
NLRP3 inflammasome neuroinflammation models
Cytokine release from glial cultures
Neuroinflammatory gene knockout screening
