What is B Cell Activation & BCR Signaling ?
B cell activation is triggered by antigen binding to the B cell receptor, initiating a signaling cascade that controls proliferation, differentiation into plasma cells and antibody secretion. Aberrant BCR signaling is a hallmark of B cell lymphomas and leukemias, and targeting BCR pathway kinases (e.g., BTK, PI3Kδ) is a successful therapeutic strategy.
