What is Tumor Suppressors ?
Tumor suppressor genes (e.g., TP53, RB1, PTEN, BRCA1) restrain cell growth and promote genome stability. Their inactivation by mutation, deletion or epigenetic silencing drives tumorigenesis. CRISPR enables systematic knockout and complementation studies to define tumor suppressor function and synthetic lethal relationships for therapy.
