Description
PVRIG (PVR related immunoglobulin domain containing) encodes a transmembrane protein that functions as an immune checkpoint receptor. It is expressed on T cells and NK cells and binds to its ligand PVRL2 (nectin-2/CD112) on antigen-presenting cells and tumor cells, inhibiting T cell and NK cell activation. PVRIG is a target for cancer immunotherapy.

Protein Summary
PVRIG is a type I transmembrane protein with a single extracellular immunoglobulin-like domain. It acts as an inhibitory receptor on T cells and NK cells. Binding to PVRL2 (CD112) on target cells suppresses immune activation, making it a checkpoint target for cancer immunotherapy.
