Description
TRIM52 (Tripartite Motif Containing 52) is a protein-coding gene belonging to the tripartite motif (TRIM) family. The encoded protein contains a RING finger domain, B-box zinc finger, and coiled-coil region, and functions as an E3 ubiquitin ligase involved in innate immune responses, antiviral signaling, and regulation of NF-kappaB pathways.

Protein Summary
TRIM52 is a 324-amino acid protein (UniProt Q96A44) with a molecular weight of approximately 37 kDa. It contains a RING-type zinc finger domain (residues 22-60) that mediates E3 ubiquitin ligase activity, a B-box-type zinc finger (residues 99-141), and a coiled-coil region (residues 142-200). The protein localizes to the cytoplasm and is involved in ubiquitination of viral proteins and host signaling molecules, modulating antiviral responses and cell proliferation.
