Description

SOCS7 (Suppressor of Cytokine Signaling 7) is a member of the SOCS family of proteins that function as negative regulators of cytokine signaling via the JAK/STAT pathway. It contains an SH2 domain and a SOCS box domain. SOCS7 is involved in insulin receptor internalization and trafficking, and plays a role in cell growth, differentiation, and immune response. Mutations and altered expression of SOCS7 have been implicated in cancer, diabetes, and developmental disorders.
