Description

RANBP17 encodes a member of the importin beta family of nuclear transport receptors. The protein binds RAN GTPase and mediates nuclear import and export of cargo proteins. It is involved in nucleocytoplasmic transport and may play a role in cell cycle regulation and differentiation.
