Description
PRKD3 (protein kinase D3) is a member of the protein kinase D (PKD) family of serine/threonine kinases. It is involved in signal transduction pathways regulating cell proliferation, differentiation, migration, and vesicle trafficking. PRKD3 is activated by diacylglycerol (DAG) and protein kinase C (PKC) and plays a role in cancer progression, immune response, and cardiac function.

PRKD3 encodes a 912-amino acid serine/threonine kinase with a catalytic domain, two cysteine-rich zinc finger domains (C1a and C1b), and a pleckstrin homology (PH) domain.
