Description
PANK4 encodes pantothenate kinase 4, a member of the pantothenate kinase family that catalyzes the first committed step in coenzyme A (CoA) biosynthesis: the phosphorylation of pantothenate (vitamin B5) to 4'-phosphopantothenate.
