Description
MKNK2 (MAPK interacting serine/threonine kinase 2) encodes a member of the MAP kinase-interacting serine/threonine kinase family. This kinase is activated by ERK and p38 MAP kinases and phosphorylates eukaryotic initiation factor 4E (eIF4E), thereby regulating translation initiation.
