Description

KLF8 (Kruppel-like factor 8) is a member of the Kruppel-like factor (KLF) family of transcription factors, characterized by three C-terminal C2H2 zinc finger domains. It binds to GC-rich sequences in gene promoters and regulates transcription of genes involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, and oncogenesis. KLF8 is implicated in epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and cancer metastasis.
