Description
ELOA2 (elongin A2) encodes a subunit of the elongin complex, which stimulates RNA polymerase II transcription elongation by suppressing transient pausing. The protein interacts with elongin BC complex to form the fully active elongin (SIII) complex. ELOA2 is expressed in various tissues and may play roles in cellular proliferation and differentiation.

Protein Summary
ELOA2 is a 110 kDa protein that forms the elongin (SIII) complex with elongin B and C. It enhances RNA polymerase II processivity by reducing pausing. The protein contains a von Hippel-Lindau binding domain and is involved in transcriptional regulation.
