Description
DUSP10 (dual specificity phosphatase 10) encodes a member of the mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase phosphatase family. It dephosphorylates both phosphoserine/threonine and phosphotyrosine residues within MAP kinases, specifically targeting p38 and JNK, thereby negatively regulating stress-activated protein kinase signaling. DUSP10 is involved in immune response, inflammation, and cellular stress adaptation.

Protein Summary
DUSP10 (MKP-5) is a 482-amino acid dual specificity phosphatase that selectively inactivates p38 and JNK MAP kinases. It contains an N-terminal MAP kinase-binding domain and a C-terminal catalytic phosphatase domain. The protein is predominantly cytoplasmic but can translocate to the nucleus upon stress. DUSP10 plays a critical role in modulating immune and inflammatory responses.
