Description

DCAF15 (DDB1 and CUL4 Associated Factor 15) encodes a substrate receptor for the CUL4-DDB1 E3 ubiquitin ligase complex. It is involved in ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of target proteins, playing a role in cell cycle regulation and DNA damage response. DCAF15 is also a target of the anticancer drug indisulam, which promotes degradation of splicing factors RBM39 and RBM23.

Disease Associations

Protein Summary

DCAF15 is a 546-amino acid protein containing WD40 repeats that mediate substrate recognition. It forms a complex with DDB1 and CUL4 to ubiquitinate target proteins, including splicing factors RBM39 and RBM23. The protein is expressed in multiple tissues and is implicated in cancer cell survival.
