Description

CREM (cAMP responsive element modulator) is a transcription factor that binds to cAMP response elements (CRE) and regulates the expression of genes involved in cAMP signaling. It is essential for spermatogenesis, modulates immune responses, and is implicated in several cancers and autoimmune diseases. Alternative splicing generates multiple isoforms, including the repressor ICER (inducible cAMP early repressor).
