Description
CCL24 (C-C Motif Chemokine Ligand 24) encodes a chemokine that belongs to the CC chemokine family. It is also known as eotaxin-2 and MPIF-2. The protein is a potent chemoattractant for eosinophils, basophils, and Th2 lymphocytes, acting through the CCR3 receptor. CCL24 plays a central role in allergic inflammation, asthma, and other eosinophilic disorders.
