Description

CCL23 (C-C Motif Chemokine Ligand 23) is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family. It is primarily produced by monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells. CCL23 acts as a chemoattractant for various immune cells, including monocytes, T lymphocytes, and neutrophils, by binding to the chemokine receptor CCR1. It plays a role in inflammatory responses, wound healing, and has been implicated in several diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, atherosclerosis, and certain cancers.
