Description
CCL14 (C-C Motif Chemokine Ligand 14) encodes a chemokine that belongs to the CC chemokine family. The encoded protein, also known as HCC-1, is constitutively expressed in various tissues and functions as a chemoattractant for monocytes, eosinophils, and T lymphocytes. It binds to CCR1 and CCR5 receptors and plays a role in inflammatory and immune responses. CCL14 is also implicated in HIV-1 infection as a ligand for the CCR5 coreceptor.
