Description
ADORA3 encodes the adenosine A3 receptor, a member of the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) family. This receptor binds extracellular adenosine and mediates diverse physiological effects, including inhibition of adenylyl cyclase, modulation of cAMP levels, and activation of phospholipase C. It is involved in inflammatory responses, cardioprotection during ischemia, and tumor growth regulation. Expression is highest in lung, liver, and immune cells.

Protein Summary
