Description

ACOD1 (aconitate decarboxylase 1), also known as IRG1 (immune-responsive gene 1), encodes an enzyme that catalyzes the decarboxylation of cis-aconitate to itaconate, a key metabolite in the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle.
