Description

ARHGAP45 (Rho GTPase Activating Protein 45) encodes a member of the RhoGAP family of proteins that regulate Rho GTPases by accelerating GTP hydrolysis, thereby inactivating them. The protein is involved in cytoskeletal organization, cell migration, and immune cell function. It is also known as minor histocompatibility antigen HA-1 (HMHA1) and plays a role in graft-versus-host disease.

Protein Summary

ARHGAP45 is a 730-amino acid protein containing a RhoGAP domain that inactivates RhoA, Rac1, and Cdc42. It localizes to the cytoplasm and membrane, regulating actin dynamics and cell adhesion. As HA-1, it is a minor histocompatibility antigen expressed on hematopoietic cells.
