Description
ANO7 (Anoctamin 7) encodes a member of the anoctamin family of calcium-activated chloride channels. The protein is predominantly expressed in prostate epithelium and is implicated in prostate cancer susceptibility and progression. ANO7 is also known as TMEM16G and IPCA-5 (Increased Prostate Cancer Antigen-5).

Protein Summary
ANO7 is a 933-amino acid transmembrane protein with eight transmembrane domains, functioning as a calcium-activated chloride channel. It is highly expressed in the prostate and localizes to the plasma membrane. The protein plays a role in ion homeostasis and may influence prostate cell proliferation and differentiation.
